I hope you’ve all been following Twitter or checking out the photos on the website? Year 5 are having an amazing time in Morfa Bay this weekend. The weather looks great and all the children are fully involved in the many activities! I can’t wait to hear all their stories when they come back tomorrow. Llantilio is so lucky to have such dedicated staff who are willing to give up their weekend in this way.
We welcomed our new parents and Reception children to school on Wednesday afternoon. They all had a chance to see their new classroom, purchase uniform, meet some of the members of the PTFA and ask any questions. We will welcome them again for a trial afternoon session in the next couple of weeks and I’m sure it won’t seem long until they are happy and confident members of the Llantilio family!
All the children will have a chance to work with their new teachers on Wednesday afternoon too.
We are trialling an earlier finish on Thursday to enable children and parents to attend our Summer Fete. Any children who can’t be met by their parents at 2 will be fully supervised until we can hand them over to parents. They will also have a chance to look around the fete too. I know this has caused a few issues for some parents – any problems please come and discuss them with me and we can work together to resolve any issues.
3 weeks left! We are still working very hard in all areas and will be right up until the end of term. We are also on track to achieve our attendance target too, with sime children due to receive 100% attendance medals and of course the best attending class! School reports are due out this week to and we will be offering a parents’ consultation evening if anyone wants to discuss their child’s report. Details included with the report.
